Handmade espadrille manufacturing process
In this section we will show you the different phases an espadrille goes through while being manufactured. However, before we do, there are some concepts to be explained before starting:

Espadrille: "Canvas footwear with an esparto or hemp sole fastened by simple adjustment or with laces.". Origins: "Of Pyrenean origin, documented since at least 1322, the year in which a document written in Catalan describes the espardenyes." Jute: " Fibrous herbaceous plant cultivated in tropical regions. The fibers extracted from this plant are also called jute". |
